Hello everybody,
I am making this post with the blessing of the moderator of this forum, Alexander. I recently started a new forum over at www.vipassanaforum.com. I am simply pasting the welcome message from the forum here, in order to spread the word:
Many Vipassana meditators seem to have a hard time getting in touch with fellow practitioners. Our vision is that this could be a forum for Vipassana meditators all over the world to get together in one place and grow in their meditation; if this sounds interesting, feel more than welcome to join us! Please start out by introducing yourself; every traveller on the path of dhamma comes from a unique background, and we would love to hear about yours.
Peace to all!
Anders, forum administrator of www.vipassanaforum.com

Re: Vipassanaforum.com
Sun, November 11, 2007 - 7:29 AMI have had a heroin user tell me to 'grow in vipassana'. What makes vipassana any different from a cult group? I don't deny the metta or any other vibes. Its just that there are so many tossers who go there and make out they are special. I can say this though, the ATs and Gowanker cant prove that there is life after death and that meditating 2 1/2 hours a day is going to make you better off than all the other suckers who have to die. Gowanker is a condensending ass. He puts shit on christianity which he shouldnt if he wants more people to join(Im not christian) yet people follow him like he is the next buddha. Mainly western people from broken families I suppose. Come to think of it , vipassana attracts people from broken families. Its a mixture or CLASS. You get the disadvantaged, the yuppies and the whole class system is dragged into the goenka vipassana system but does goenka give a damn? He just says be liberated. He denies class distinction or suffering as a result. He is a tosser. Fuck him. -

Re: Vipassanaforum.com
Sun, November 11, 2007 - 7:50 AMso you see what I have said in anger and honesty. anger his human and it is inside any vipassana person. he is not next in line for the 'honour' of buddha. vipassana is not the holy grail. I should know because I have been practising for 13 years although not saintly( a saint doesn't need to practise does he?). Its a paradox. How can you expect someone to practise like a saint if he isnt one to start with? This is why I place my justified doubt on sainthood. Most of the humans on this planet are not saints so how can they do these stupid 2 1/2 hours a day meditation and live their family lives and work? Its crap. The answer is go the your local fix er up vipassana centre and sit on your ass for 10 days then work in the kitchen with people who are either nice or treat you like shit. Isnt it easier in the real world? At least you can earn money for putting up with bitchy people. Vipassana cult cant zap you with a beam and make you a buddha. They say 'you cant be carried on a shoulder' that is in real life also. That is not new. You can take your snooty vipassana cult and shove it right up your ass. It is a failure...oh why? Because it does not deliver what is promises for the effort. It is a snooty caste system. It is straight out of gold old friggen India. -

See were it gets you in the long run. fad
